Trio toast Drombeg shoot
ExxonMobil is set to kick off a 3000 line kilometre 2D shoot over the Drombeg
prospect, in FEL 1/08 and 2/08, off Ireland, next month, partner Providence
Resources said.
The CGG Princess will shoot the survey.
The blocks lie in water depths of between 2000 and 3000 metres and lie about
200 kilometres off ireland's south-west coast.
The FEL 1/08 & 2/08 authorisations cover 13 blocks. The area was licensed in
March this year as part of the Irish government’s 2007 Porcupine licensing
round.
The Drombeg partners are operator ExxonMobil (80%), with Providence (16%) and
Sosina Exploration (4%).
The partners also hold equivalent interests in the nearby FEL 3/04 area,
which holds the Dunquin prospect, and LO 1/06, or the Goban Spur.
