Latest jobsAustralia’s Incremental Petroleum and compatriot Otto Energy are set to start front-end engineering and design for the Edirne gas project in Turkey.
The pair said sufficient gas has been discovered to proceed to FEED and first gas sales are expected before the middle of next year.
Meanwhile, the duo is set to spud the Arpaci-2 appraisal well today, the fourth well of a five-well programme.
To date there has been a total of three discoveries from three of the wells drilled in the current campaign.
The Arpaci-2 well lies up dip from the Arpaci-1 discovery, which Otto said was drilled in January 2006.
Otto added that the Arpaci prospect has the same direct hydrocarbon indicators on seismic as the other prospects which coincides with interpreted reservoir intervals.
Incremental operates the Edirne project with a 55% stake, while joint operator Otto holds a 35% interest and local Turkish partner Petraco Energi holds 10%.
