DNV launches new software
Norwegian classification society and risk management specialist Det Norske
Veritas (DNV) has launched specialised software package that will be used
for offshore and remote locations.
DNV said its software called the new Riser Production Line Suite, allows for
automated and efficient calculations thus reducing the total analysis time
to a fraction of the usual.
The company said this new technology will be better used as more oil
exploration activities move into deper waters, harsher environments and more
remote locations.
