Trico Marine in deal with Grupo CFC
US-based workboat and offshore equipment provider Trico Marine Services will
put its two new 210-foot platform supply vessels (PSV) to work under two
long-term contracts with Grupo CFC in Mexico’s offshore, according to
sources.
Trico did not confirm the deal. Still, sources said the oilfield services
outfit expects to deliver the two vessels in 2008.
The first PSV will be delivered in the second quarter and the second will
arrive in the third quarter.
Trico has two Class 2 dynamic positioning systems vessels under construction
at the Bender Shipbuilding & Repair shipyard in Mobile, Alabama.
Trico Marine Services’ webpage names the vessels as the Trico Mystic and
Trico Moon.
Rates and the tenure of the contracts were not available.
