Italy keeps mum over lucky four

Italy has chosen the four winning bidders of a depleted gas field auction,
but has not yet named the companies involved.
The auction covered four fields which will be converted into gas storage
site.
The fields, once run by Italian giant Eni, were put up for auction in late
2006.
Government officials promised more details tomorrow but it is still unclear
when the winners will be announced, a Reuters report said.
Gaz de France and Italy’s biggest utility Enel were among the bidders.
Selections were made by the technical commission of the Economic Development
Ministry.
