Petronas scores off Mauritania
Petronas' partner Roc oil said the venture has indications that the Banda NW
ST-1 sidetrack well off Mauritania hit an 85-metre gross gas column and
15-metre gross oil column.
The Banda field lies in about 300 metres of water and spans production
sharing contract area A and B.
Roc holds a 3.693% interest in the production sharing contract area B joint
venture, along with the operator Petronas Carigali (PC) Mauritania on
53.846%, Tullow Oil on 21.6%, Mauritania Holdings with 11.63% and Premier
Oil on 9.231%.
In production sharing contract area A, Roc holds a 4.155% stake, along with
operator PC Mauritania on 53.846%, Tullow Oil with 24.3%, Mauritania
Holdings on 13.084%, Fusion Mauritania with 3% and FP Mauritania on 1.615%.
