Red Fork bites in Oklahoma

By Upstream staff

Perth-based Red Fork Energy said the Redfork 1-18 well had spudded on the Osage project in Oklahoma, targeting oil in Tyner and Wilcox sands to a depth of 2300 feet.

The well is a step out of its Redfork 1-17 well, which continues 15 to 20 barrels of oil per day following completion and stimulation in the Wilcox levels.

Red Fork said it had also signed up a rig to drill a further step out at the site, Redfork 1-20.
