BG and Origin keep talking
UK-based BG Group said talks with Australian gas producer and energy retailer
Origin Energy were continuing but had so far been inconclusive.
BG said it had held discussions with top officials of Origin following its
A$13 billion (US$12 billion) bid for the company.
BG told the Australian Securities Investment Commission the deal was
“subject to contract, confidential and to be implemented co-operatively and
expeditiously by way of a scheme of arrangement”.
It said further details would be announced as appropriate.
