Petrobras' Argentine profit rises
The Argentine arm of Brazilian state-run Petrobras reported a higher
first-quarter net profit of 192 million pesos ($60.2 million).
Petrobras Energia Participaciones last year's first-quarter net profit was
182 million pesos, the company said in a statement to the Buenos Aires Stock
Exchange.
The net profit came in above market expectations, said Reuters.
A Reuters poll of five analysts had put the company's net profit at a median
of 185 million pesos, with estimates ranging from 184 million to 195 million.
