Bahama mama: the Toisa Mariner will be renamed the Bluestone Topaz and converted into a deepwater unit

Bluestone snaps up Toisa Mariner

Bermuda-based Toisa recently sold the Toisa Mariner platform supply vessel to Singapore-based deepwater core drilling analysis company Bluestone Offshore on private terms.

The vessel’s new owners intend to convert the unit into a deepwater geotechnical drilling unit.

The vessel will remain under the Bahamas flag but be renamed “Bluestone Topaz”.

The vessel has sailed under the names “Balder Baffin”, “Sable Sea” and “Marinous” and was until recently stationed offshore Qatar.

The transaction was brokered by Washington-based Marcon International.
