Suroco gets to work in Colombia
Colombia's National Agency of Hydrocarbons has handed the Alea 1947 C Block, in Putumayo, to a consortium involving Calgary-based Suroco Energy.
Alea 1947 C covers about 235 square kilometres and lies north-east of the Suroriente Block.
The work commitment for the block includes shooting 100 kilometres of new 2D seismic over the next 18 months. The seismic work should cost about $3 million.
Suroco has a 15.9% stake in the block through its wholly-owned subsidiary NCT Corporacion Petrolera Latinoamericana.
