Aker lands $210m contract from Jurong

Norwegian supplier Aker Solutions has signed a $210 million contract with Jurong Shipyard in Singapore for delivery of drilling equipment system for semi-submersible drilling.

Aker Solutions will deliver a complete drilling package consisting of engineering, equipment deliveries and commissioning services.

The deep-water semi-submersible drilling rig is scheduled for delivery in second quarter 2011.

This is the second contract awarded to Aker from Jurong, the company said in a statement.
