Subsidiary of Singapore company emerges as frontrunner for FPSO


Ezra moving up in Premier chase

Singapore's Ezra Holdings has a surprise edge on its three rivals for the contract to supply a leased floating production, storage and offloading vessel to Premier Oil's $1 billion Chim Sao (Blackbird) and Dua oil project in Vietnam.

Sources said Premier is in the final stages of clarifying the bidders' proposals and plans to complete its commercial evaluation imminently.

Ezra's subsidiary Emas Offshore is bidding for the Chim Sao-Dua job against global FPSO giants SBM Offshore and Modec, plus UK-based Vanguard Oil&Gas.

Sources said Emas and Modec are the preferred bidders for the project based on their commercial proposals, with Emas being the first option.
