Grampian Supporter heads for Trinidad
Trinidad-based Capital Signal Company has bought the standby/supply vessel Grampian Supporter from Aberdeen-based Craig Group for an undisclosed sum, US ship broker Marcon International said.
The 1942-tonne vessel, built for Maersk in 1976 as an offshore supply vessel and later converted to a standby safet vessel, is now bound for Trinidad & Tobago from the North Sea under her new name, Native Pride.
The 207-foot vessel, also formely called the Maersk Puncher and the Grampian Freedom, will now be used primarily as a survey vessel, Washington State-based Marcon said.
