Back at work: Canada's Nexen to resume production in North Sea
Nexen to resume production in North Sea
Canadian explorer Nexen expects to resume production at its Scott and Telford oil and gas platform in the North Sea by the end of this week following about two weeks of scheduled maintenance.
The platform was producing about 14,000 barrels of oil equivalent a day before the shutdown, Nexen's spokesperson Lavonne Zdunich said.
Crude oil makes up about 85% of the production and natural gas the remainder, said Reuters.
Nexen owns 41.9% of the Scott field and platform and 71.75% of the Telford field.
