St Fergus terminal: where gas from the Scott field is received
Nexen turns Scott flow back on
Calgary-based Nexen said its North Sea Scott field resumed production after scheduled maintenance earlier this month.
“Operations are back up and maintenance went as planned,” Tim Chatten, a company spokesman told Bloomberg today.
Nexen announced the shutdown on 4 August.
The Scott deposit sends its oil to the Grangemouth refinery in Scotland via the Forties pipeline.
Gas is exported through the Sage link to Scotland's St. Fergus terminal.
The field produced an average of 21,599 barrels of oil and about 16 million cubic feet of gas a day in the 12 months through April, according to data from the UK's Department for Business, Enterprise & Regulatory Reform.
