BP turns on BTC taps
The BP-led Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan (BTC) oil pipeline reopened today after a short period of planned maintenance.
The pipeline reopened on Tuesday evening, BP spokesman Toby Odone told Reuters. Oil flows through the line have returned to the level before the shutdown, he said.
Volumes through the pipeline had been cut to about 40% of their normal volumes ahead of the work due to a gas leak at the Azeri field, in the Caspian Sea on 17 September.
BP is continuing to investigate the cause of the gas leak, Odone said.
