Pacific Rubiales ups Colombian output
Canadian player Pacific Rubiales has increased the gross production of its Rubiales field in the Llanos basin from 20,487 barrels of oil per day to 45,017 bpd, an increase of about 120%, the company said.
Total gross oil production for the company, including production from its light/medium oil assets located elsewhere in Colombia, is 51,526 bpd.
The Rubiales field has 39 wells, of which 27 are production wells, of which 17 are vertical and 10 horizontal, nine are appraisal wells, two are exploration probes and one is an injection well.
The company expects to complete its programme by drilling 41 further wells during the remaining part of the year through the simultaneous use of eight drilling rigs at the field.
