Dudley walks away from TNK-BP
Robert Dudley has stepped down as president and chief executive of TNK-BP, effective today, with chief operating officer Tim Summers stepping in as interim chief.
Summers will continue as chief operating officer and will carry out the chief executive's duties until the appointment of a new non-affiliated chief executive as agreed by the shareholders.
“I depart TNK-BP after more than five challenging and immensely satisfying years building and leading this unique and progressive Russian oil major,” Dudley said in a statement released by TNK-BP.
“I wish the new management team every success in continuing the company’s development.”
