Nautilus rupture: Gulf pipe out of action.
Leak shuts Nautilus gas line
Enbridge’s US unit declared force majeure on Sunday due to a leak on its 30-inch, 101-mile Nautilus natural gas pipeline in the US Gulf of Mexico.
"Nautilus Pipeline Co, LLC has been shut in at Ship Shoal 207 due to a leak on the pipeline. Under initial investigation damage appears to have been done by an anchor being dragged across the system," a website posting said.
The company said it was acquiring "personnel, materials, and vessels" for repair, but the pipeline system would remain shut until further notice, according Reuters report.
The Nautilus system, which extends from Ship Shoal Block 207 to onshore Louisiana interconnects with four interstate and three intrastate pipelines straddled by the Neptune Gas Plant, has the capacity to carry 600 million cubic feet of gas per day.
