Venezuela corks Russian exploration deal
Venezuela has closed a deal to allow Russian oil companies to explore for and produce oil in the country's Orinoco Belt, Venezuelan oil minister Rafael Ramirez said.
Venezuela closed the exploration and production deal with a Russian consortium to enter the Junin 6 block in the Orinoco Belt in a joint venture with PdVSA, Ramirez said yesterday.
Rosneft, Gazprom and Lukoil are participating in the consortium. They will begin by working to certify reserves in the area, Ramirez said
