Crude production: Petrobras ups monthly figure
Petrobras sets new monthly record
Brazil’s Petrobras has set a new monthly oil production record of 1.99 million barrels per day for the month of March, surpassing the 1.94 million bpd pumped in February.
The company said the 52,000 bpd difference came mainly from bringing new wells on stream at the Cidade de Niteroi floating production, storage and offloading unit, the P-53 Marlim Leste platform and the Roncador platform, P-54.
In the Campos basin, Petrobras reported oil production for March at 1.72 million bpd up from February's 1.66 million bpd.
Onshore oil production in Brazil dropped slightly to 212,000 bpd in March compared to 217,000 bpd in February.
Natural gas production in the Campos basin was up in March at 1.04 billion cubic feet per day compared to February totals of 979 MMcfd.
Onshore gas production declined slightly with March seeing flows of 577 MMcfd compared to February's 583 MMcfd.
The company said the average natural gas production excluding the liquefied natural gas volume in March was 51.407 billion cubic metres per day, an increase of 52% more than the volume produced in February of 48,\867 Bcmd due to fluctuations in market demand.
