Pemex launches seismic tender

Mexican state-owned Pemex’s E&P subsidiary PEP has launched an international tender for a 3-D seismic study in the Campeche sound and or the Gulf of Mexico.

The tender is for the study of offshore areas totaling a combined 2.1 square kilometres (0.8 square miles).

The company has scheduled a project meeting for 22 May, said an Energy Current report.

Bidding rules are available through 19 June with bids due 25 June.

Work is scheduled to begin 31 July and run 154 days, according to federal procurement website Compranet.
