Geo Explorer stays on with GXT

GC Rieber Shipping subsidiary Octio Group has sealed a four-month job with oil services outfit GX Technology for the 2D seismic vessel Geo Explorer.

In a release, Reiber said the contract with GXT is in direct continuation from the existing agreement which started in March this year and runs through until October.

Octio Group is currently using the Geo Explorer to carry out a multi-client survey offshore India for GXT.

As of next month, the Geo Explorer will be moved to the North Atlantic area, where the vessel will be used to shoot about 7000 kilometres of 2D seismic data, whereafter GXT has various options to extend the agreement.
