Topaz gets six-barge deal from Agip

Topaz Energy and Marine, a subsidiary of holding company Renaissance Services, has just secured a US$ 100 million long-term contract with Agip KCO in Kazakhstan through its BUE Kazakhstan firm Kashagan oil field.
The six ice-class barges including three cutting, one liquid-mud and two flat-top barges are expected to be deployed in 2010. Each vessel will be equipped to work under icy conditions and operate on low-draft when fully loaded.
