Russian promise: to review tax breaks
'Tax breaks still on agenda'
Russia will return to the idea of granting new tax breaks to oil firms as soon as the acute phase of the financial crisis is over, Russia's President Dmitry Medvedev said today.
Medvedev made his remarks during a panel discussion with executives of top global energy companies on the sidelines of St Petersburg Economic Forum.
"When we will see that the most acute phase of the crisis has passed, the issue of fiscal support of energy companies will return to the agenda," he said.
