Pemex seeking bids for new platform
Mexico's state oil company Pemex said it was seeking bids to build a production platform at a small offshore field discovered last year.
Pemex said it expected the Kambesah field to produce about 13,700 barrels of oil per day and 9.3 million cubic feet of gas per day when it reached peak production.
The company did not provide an estimate of the cost of development, said a Reuters report.
The winner of the tender will be expected to start work on 21 July and to complete construction of the platform early next year.
Kambesah is near several light oilfields in the Gulf of Mexico.
The field was discovered last August.
