Turkmenistan: home to Dragon Oil's Cheleken field.
UK-based Dragon Oil has entered into a six-month charter for jack-up rig Astra to drill two wells in the Caspian Sea Cheleken field off Turkmenistan.
The jack-up was secured on favourable terms through a deal with the rig operator, BKE Shelf.
The contract will begin in November 2009.
