Yemen production: down for DNO in May
DNO's Yemen flows take a dip
Norwegian explorer DNO saw its oil production from Yemen in May dip slightly to 5794 barrels per day.
In April, the company produced 6026 bpd.
The figures are based on a net entitlement calculation method, DNO said in a statement.
However, the company said its achieved oil price for May rose to $59 per barrel, up from $50 per barrel in April.
Meanwhile, DNO's revenue entitlement from production at the Tawke field, in Iraqi Kurdistan totalled Nkr9.8 million($1.53 million) in April and Nkr11.1 million in May.
The Iraqi government at the beginning of June allowed crude to start being exported from the Kurdish region, a move that appeared to signal a break in the long-running dispute between the Shi'ite Arab-led government in Baghdad and minority Kurds over land, power and Iraq's vast oil resources.
However, Iraqi Oil Minister Hussain al-Shahristani said days later that contracts the Kurdish authorities signed with companies such as DNO were illegal and that the companies would not be paid for the oil they are putting into the Baghdad-controlled pipeline system.
"We do not have any firm dates yet for when payments will be made," said DNO managing director Helge Eide to Upstreamonline.
"But we do believe the situation will be resolved as soon as possible."
