Ecopetrol eyes Cuba E&P
Colombian company Ecopetrol may engage in offshore oil exploration in Cuba, Colombian Mining Minister Hernan Martinez said.
Martinez will start a working visit to Cuba that includes meeting with Cuban Basic Industry Minister Yadira Garcia.
Martinez said the meeting is aimed at tightening bilateral energy ties and hinted that the Colombian company Ecopetrol may engage in offshore oil exploration at the Caribbean island, a Prensa Latina report said.
He is accompanied by Javier Gutierrez, Ecopetrol boss which hopes to rank among the world top petrochemical companies by 2015 with its oil, gas and alternative fuel productions.
