Up: licence areas in Israel for Zion
Zion boosts Israel acreage
Delware- based Zion Oil & Gas said today that it has been awarded a preliminary petroleum exploration permit for acreage in Israel.
The permit, named Issachar-Zebulun, covers around 165,000 acres and lies adjacent to Sion’s Asher-Menashe licence area.
The permit increases Zion’s total petroleum exploration rights area to about 327,000 acres.
Meanwhile, the company also said the Israeli Petroleum Commissioner has granted a six month extension on Zion’s drilling obligation on the Asher-Menashe license from 1 July to allow time to finish drilling of the Ma’anit-Rehoboth 2 well.
