Making reassurances: Ukrainian Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko
Kiev 'will pay gas bill on time'
Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko said today that Ukraine would pay - in time and in full - its bill for gas supplies imported from Russia this month.
"We are putting gas into storage in Ukraine according to plan. We did so in April and May and made 100% payment," Reuters quoted Tymoshenko as telling a news conference broadcast on television.
"In June, we have again put into storage 1.1 billion cubic metres. And we will again pay for it without fail."
