Petros looks to invest in Petrobras gigs
Brazilian pension fund Petros would like to invest 1.5 billion Brazilian reais (US$756 million) in deep-water offshore oil projects, lending a helping hand to patron Petrobras.
Petros, the pension fund for workers at the state-run oil company, is evaluating the possibility for such an investment, the head of Petros Wagner Pinheiro.
The investments would follow a "project-finance" model, Pinheiro said.
Similar models were used for investments that aided development of Petrobras' Albacora and Marlim oilfields in the offshore Campos basin, a Dow Jones report said.
