Toll snaps up Gorgon logistics deal
Australiam intergrated logistics service provider Toll Holdings said today that it has agreed with Chevron to manage the Barrow Island supply base and logistics services for the Gorgon liquefied natural gas project off Western Australia.
Toll said the contract is valued at about A$180 million (US$144 million) over three years.
The work is expected to begin after receipt of all necessary government approvals for Gorgon and following a final investment decision on the project, expected later this year, Toll said.
Chevron operates Gorgon and ExxonMobil and Shell are also shareholders.
