Poland hopes to sign an agreement with Russia's Gazprom by the end of August to increase gas supplies by 2 billion to 3 billion cubic metres from 2010, a PGNiG official said today.
"We hope to sign an agreement with Gazprom on increasing gas shipments by 2 bcm to to 3 bcm from 2010 by the end of August," Reuters quoted Miroslaw Dobrut, deputy chairman of Poland's gas monopoly PGNiG , told reporters through a translator.
Dobrut said that under the current contract for 2010, Poland will receive 8 bcm of gas from Gazprom, Russia's gas export monopoly.
