CNOOC Ltd, the listed unit of China National Offshore Oil  Corporation (CNOOC) is embarking on a plan that envisages increased co-operation with foreign oil companies at home and  overseas as it works to meet a  targeted hydrocarbon production growth rate of between 6% and 10% per annum from now until 2015.

Texas assets: SandRidge closes sale.

SandRidge closes on Texas sale

Oklahoma independent SandRidge Energy netted about $58 million from the sale of its drilling rights in East Texas below the depth of the Cotton Valley formation.

The deal covered about 22,000 acres in Gregg, Harrison and Rusk counties in East Texas. The rights were sold to a privately owned exploration and production company.

The company will use the cash to further develop the Pinon Field, SandRidge boss Tom Ward said in a release.
