New job: for Subsea 7 at Valhall
Subsea 7 gets to work at Valhall
Subsea 7 has bagged a $40 million engineering, procurement, installation and commissioning job on BP's Valhall Flank gas lift pipelines and wellhead platform riser caisson project.
The workscope involves engineering, procurement and fabrication of subsea and platform components, installation of two 8-inch pipelines and one new caisson on the wellhead platform and subsea tie-in spools at the Valhall Flank South and Valhall Flank North platform locations.
The project management and engineering will be performed at Subsea 7’s offices in Stavanger, Norway. The offshore operations are due to take place in two campaigns, starting in summer next year.
The Valhall field lies 290 kilometres off the south-west coast of Norway in 70 metres of water in the Norwegian sector of the North Sea. The Valhall complex consists of seven separate platforms, five in the centre and two Flank installations.
