Mend claims attack on Shell pipeline
Nigeria's most prominent militant group said it had attacked oil pipelines operated by Shell and Agip in the Niger Delta.
"The Agip pipeline, which connects the Agip Brass terminal, was sabotaged at Nembe creek, while the Shell Nembe creek line was done at Asawo village," the Reuters reported citing a statement from the Movement for the Emancipation of the Niger Delta (Mend).
It was not immediately possible to independently verify whether the attacks occurred.
