Western Australia: state draws Petronet's interest for proposed Kimberley LNG hub.
Petronet keen on Kimberley hub
India’s Petronet LNG is interested to invest in Western Australia's proposed Kimberley liquefied natural gas hub, chief executive Prosad Dasgupta said.
The company is "very keenly pursuing" the Kimberley venture and plans to meet with Kimberley officials while visiting Perth, Dow Jones quoted Prosad as saying at an LNG conference yesterday.
Woodside Petroleum has backed the WA government’s plan to locate the proposed hub at James Price Point in the Kimberley. If the plan goes ahead, the hub will process gas from Woodside-operated Browse basin gas fields.
