In the pipeline: a Tenaris executive said that national players, particularly in the Middle East and north Africa, have been quicker to start projcets than independent companies
National players 'on starting blocks'
National oil companies in the Middle East and north Africa are more active in resuming projects than independent groups, a senior executive at seamless steel pipe manufacturer Tenaris said today.
"We are seeing a positive mood from national oil companies ... we are still seeing a "wait-and-see" attitude from independents," Reuters quoted Tenaris commercial director Alejandro Lammertyn telling investors and analysts in a presentation.
He mentioned Saudi Arabian state oil company Aramco as one of the national companies whose activity has picked up.
