Indonesia: Southeast Asian nation falling short on crude and gas production.
Indonesia falling short in crude output
Indonesia’s average daily oil production for September stood at 951,867 barrels per day, about 9000 bpd shy of its targeted 960,000 bpd, according to head of BPMigas, the country’s upstream watchdog, BPMigas.
Crude production for the year to 24 September was 954,305 barrels per day, Raden Priyono said in an Antara report.
Indonesia produces on average 8010 million cubic feet of gas (mmcfd), falling short of the projected 7884 mmcfd, he said.
Priyono blamed the crude production shortfall on leaks in pipelines resulting in a decline of 2000 barrels per day each at ConocoPhillips’ Belida and Kangean Energy’s Sepanjang fields.
Total’s Sisi-Nubi also saw a drop of 70 million cubic feet per day with ongoing pigging work in the field, he said.
