Aramco eyes pre-salt: Middle Eastern giant said to want a stake in Brazil's oil riches.
'Aramco interested in Brazilian pre-salt'
Saudi Aramco is interested to explore for oil in Brazil’s pre-salt basin, Brazilian Chief of Staff, Dilma Roussef said.
Aramco indicated its interest during President Luiz Incio Lula da Silva’s visit to Riyadh in May, Reuters cited Roussef as saying in a press conference.
Lula has invited Saudi Petroleum Minister Ali Naimi to Brazil to further ties between Petrobras and Aramco.
Roussef is tipped to succeed Lula as Brazilian president.
