Indonesia: home to Donggi-Senoro gas project.
Senoro duo may settle for less
Indonesia’s Pertamina and MedcoEnergi may accept a selling price of between $4 per million British thermal unit (mmbtu) and $6.16 per mmbtu for gas supply from the Donggi-Senoro gas project to domestic buyers.
The duo have asked for $6.16 mmbtu but recent discussions show they are willing to settle for a lower price, according to Indonesia’s director general Evita Legowo.
Domestic buyers are looking at a mark-up from a base price of $4 mmbtu, Legowo said at the sideline of an event in Singapore today.
Potential buyers now include Perusahaan Listrik Negara and some local fertiliser suppliers are seeking a combined 211 million cubic feet per day (mmcfd) of gas from the Donggi-Senoro project, according to Legowo.
A possibility for liquefied natural gas export exists if the domestic buyers can’t fulfill the requirements, she said.
Donggi-Senoro will draw gas from Senoro and Matindok fields. Their combined daily production is projected to be 225 mmcfd.
