In its pinchers: Scorpion pounces on T&T offshore job.
Scorpion's Offshore Vigilant catches work
Bermuda-based driller Scorpion Offshore has received interest from a US independent for the Offshore Vigilant for a programme offshore Trinidad.
The programme includes one exploratory well, one completion, and one recompletion, which should take 95 to 135 days.
The deal includes an option period that could include one development well, one completion and one recompletion spanning another 60 to 75 days.
The contract is expected to kick off around 1 December and has a value pegged at $10.5 million to $15 million.
Earlier this month, the Offshore Vigilant completed the first of two wells for Russian monopoly Gazprom.
But Gazprom was not ready to spud the second well and is negotiations with Scorpion on the timing of that operation.
