CNOOC starts up Luda 27-2
CNOOC Ltd said production has commenced at its 100%-owned Luda (LD) 27-2 oil field in China’s Bohai Bay.
The field is now producing 11000 barrels per day of oil from 11 wells.
LD 27-2 is located in the Eastern Bohai Bay in about 25 meters of water. It is about 104 kilometers north-west of Qinhuangdao city of Hebei province.
The oilfield will be sharing production facilities with CNOOC’s neighbouring asset LD 32-2.
The production facilities include two wellhead platforms, one production and storage platform and 34 production wells.
LD32-2 is scheduled to start-up later this year. The combined production at the two oilfields is expected to peak at 13,000 barrels per day.
