Turbine team-up: GE looks to work with Kazakh company.
GE to team with Kazakhstan on turbines
GE Oil & Gas, Kazakhstan’s National Welfare Fund JSC NWF Samruk-Kazyna and JSC ZKMK, a precision engineering plant operator, have today signed an agreement to work toward forming a joint venture for making and servicing gas turbines in Kazakhstan.
The players are hoping to finalise the joint venture, which would produce GE’s 11-plus MW range of GE10 gas turbines by the middle of next year, according to a press release.
GE Oil & Gas and ZKMK are already working together to build GE gas pump component parts and equipment at ZKMK’s facilities under a separate agreement and are working to set up a special service center for gas pump maintenance.
