Balder: included in Aker's workload
Aker Solutions bags ExxonMobil extra-time
Norwegian contractor Aker Solutions said today that supermajor ExxonMobil has extended a maintenance and modification contract until December 2011.
The contract value is estimated at around Nkr300 million ($53.4 million) to Nkr400 million.
The original contract started in December 1998 for three years with seven two year options.
Workscope includes engineering design studies, engineering, procurement, construction and installation (EPCI) contracts as well as support.
“This is the fifth option that ExxonMobil has exercised under this contract,” said the company in a statement.
“Aker Solutions has carried out several large modifications for ExxonMobil over the last decade, including services on the production vessels Balder and Jotun A, as well as the platforms Jotun B and Ringhorne.”
