DUC sees output rise
The Danish Underground Consortium (DUC) pumped up its oil output from the Danish sector of the North Sea last month, with production rising about 3.8% on November's figures, operator Maersk said today.
Oil and condensate output rose to 230,900 barrels per day in December from 222,400 bpd in November, a Reuters report said.
In December 2008 DUC's production came in at 248,800 bpd.
Maersk added that while DUC's gas production in December dropped year-on-year from 810 million cubic metres in December 2008 to 710 Mmcm last month, that figure was up slightly from the 680 MMcm it pumped in November 2009.
DUC is responsible for most of the crude oil output from Denmark's North Sea oil and gas fields.
Maersk holds 39% of DUC. Its partners, Shell and Chevron own 46% and 15% respectively.
