Sunset over Darwin: Australian Northern Territory capital city set to host Inpex's Ichthys gas project.
Yokogawa roped in for Ichthys FEED
Yokogawa Australia has won a front-end engineering and design contract for an integrated control and safety system at Inpex’s Ichthys gas project off Australia.
The engineering outfit will support Amec and JKC, a joint venture between JGC, KBR and Chiyoda, on FEED work for the offshore and onshore facilities, according to a news report.
Amec’s contracted work scope includes the offshore gas and condensate production facilities and an 850-kilometre export pipeline to Darwin, the capital city of Australia’s Northern Territory state, as earlier reported on Upstream.
JKC, a joint venture between JGC, KBR and Chiyoda, is carrying out work on the two onshore liquefaction trains.
First liquefied natural gas cargoes from Ichthys are expected in early 2015.
