Lamprell scores Indian platform gig
Lamprell has won a platform contract, believed to be for Oil and Natural Gas Corporation’s North Tapti project off India.
Upstream has learnt the turnkey platform contract was to Lamprell and its Singapore-based partner, Swiber Offshore.
The duo emerged as the lowest bidder in the recent tender for ONGC’s North Tapti project.
Lamprell said its scope of work includes the design and construction of two offshore wellhead platforms. Its revenue share is expected to be $39.4 million.
Work on the two platforms will take place at its Jebel Ali facility. The load-out weight of each platform including piles, jacket and topsides will exceed 2000 tonnes.
Delivery is scheduled for December 2010, with offshore installation to be undertaken by Swiber Offshore.
